I learned a little while ago that I don't really cook from recipe books that we own so I donated most of them. From time to time, I would borrow recipe books from the library or look over the internet {mostly Pinterest or The Pioneer Woman} for inspiration, if we like food then I would type the recipe, put the paper inside a plastic sheet protectors {to protect them from stain} then put it into a binder:
I use 3"binder for my cooking and 1 1/2" for my baking recipes.
Most of the recipes that I post here had been tested in our kitchen at least 2-3 times. I'd keep trying, mixing, or combining different recipes until we came up with one that we like best.
I use tab to divide the cooking book into different section: appetizer, soup, meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetables. Most office supplies store also sell tabs, which you can write on or label it. I just use whatever I had at that time.
I then upload some pictures and made the collage prints cover at snapfish.
That's it my homemade recipe binders. :)
One of my goals for 2013 is to find a way to organize my own recipe notebook, which is a big fat mess right now! This looks easy enough (and economical). I especially like your covers. Thank you for the inspiration!
