Every sin grieves the Lord and to some degree affects our relationship with him. It is for that very reason that He instructs us to confess our sins to Him - so that our relationship can remain in harmony; so that His fatherly discipline of us can end; so that our life can return to holiness in all of its parts; and so that enemy will no longer have opportunity to afflict us and thwart God's plan.
