No more bleeding so far but the ultrasound showed that the placenta was still in low position. Prayerfully, it will move up as my uterus expand.
Someone shared with me a little while ago that being bed rest was good for her as she got to slow down, thanking God for things that she used to take for granted. You know what was my reaction when I heard that? I thought: well... it may be good for you but I don't know if I can handle it.
Now, I am 100% agree with her. Although I'm not having to be on complete bed rest, my forced slowing down has turned out to be a HUGE blessing. God surely knows what I need and how far I can handle.
a. I slow down. Often when I pray, read Bible, read books or play with Max; I started to remember things that need to be done that day (cooking, cleaning, bookkeeping, doing laundry, grocery shopping, etc... ) and got distracted. Since I can't do what I normally do, I got chance to concentrate and enjoy what I was currently doing.
b. Bed rest makes our marriage stronger. It's true that we have to fast from ehem, which I do miss, but besides that our love, trust, and affection has grown stronger. We pray, appreciate, depend, and communicate to each other more. I don't know how Chris handles having to go to work so early, come home, cook for us, wash dishes, play with Max every single day. He only complains when he sees me started to go around doing the house chores again.
c. Max becomes mommy's right hand. I try my best not to bend or squat so whenever I have to, I ask Max to help me out. For instance: taking out the dishes from dish washer, putting the clothes inside the drier, picking up things on the floor, etc. He happily does what I asked and so proud to be able to help me out.
d. I started sewing. Yay!!! This has been a long time dream of mine. Since Chris doesn't allow me to do anything that requires long time standing; I got to find something to do to channel my energy & creativity while sitting down so I started sewing. I'll share with you some of my creation later on.
Abundant blessings never cease to flow into your blessed home and family indeed!!!
