We are nearly the end of our summer holidays. We spent the first few weeks of summer with our family in Indonesia, followed by Vacation Bible School at the church nearby.
Afterward, the kids spent two weeks at summer camp when I was called for jury duty.
We spent the rest of the summer working on our summer bucket list, which include light daily learning activities. The kids usually able to get them all done in one hour
For my Kindergartner/ First Grader:
1. Bible Reading. We use this Bible
2. Math: Kumon's Simple Addition
3. Phonic: Explode The Code
4. Rhyming Words: Kumon
5. Maze: Kumon {Max loves Mazes, he requested us to buy him this book and I have to limit him to only do 1-2 every day otherwise he would finish the whole book in one seating.}
6. Reading: lots of books from the library. Oh, library, what would I do without thee?
As for my preschooler; I just followed the simple preschool learning plan I did with Max.
After doing Bible Reading together, Max does his work on his own so I can help Didi learning color,
letter,
and number,
or working on his building skill:
After that we usually either go biking,
swimming,
or go to library to get more books.
On the weekend, we have been doing some hiking, playing at the beach,
going on field trip, having people over for dinner or play dates
Thank God for summer!
What have you been up this summer?
