Who I am
Hi! I am Kiki, the author here in this space. I am an ordinary girl loved by extraordinary God. I was born and raised in Indonesia before I moved to the U.S. for college. During that time, I met Chris, a wonderful man whom I dearly love and respect.
Two years into our marriage, we started praying for a child. God granted our prayers 4 years later with a curious, kind, and adventure lover Max and 2 years and 8 months later with an energetic, helpful, and strong-willed Wes.
I love orchids, pretty fabric, learning new things, keeping my sewing machine humming, reading good books, zipping good coffee, and spending time with family and friends. I list more of my favorite things here.
Why I blog
I used to send e-mails to my friends to share what God is teaching me through the Bible, book, experience, other people, and so on. One of them suggested me to write a blog. Thus this blog came about. My hope and prayer is that you will be blessed and encouraged in your journey.

Why "Choosing to Cherish"
This blog used to be a family blog, where I journal my thoughts and our family stories.
After the birth of my second son, I had anemia followed by postpartum blues. I continued to blog as way to fight it by recording gifts, precious moments, and lessons I learned. I then changed the blog name to "Choosing to Cherish" to remind myself to cherish the things that really matter.
